Privacy Policy - Homission App Data protection is a matter of trust, and your trust is important to us. The following data protection information is intended to inform you about data usage when the app is applied. Internal use in your own Wi-Fi system External app usage via outside internet connections or mobile communication Data communication Data storage, deletion Use of cookies User group Changes and extensions to the services Your rights Responsibility Internal use in your own Wi-Fi system You can use the app without entering personal data. If you use the app in your Wi-Fi system all data remains internal. Make sure you have sufficient Wi-Fi security (encryption). External app usage via outside internet connections or mobile communication If you wish to implement remote control operations via an outside Wi-Fi connection or mobile communication, you need a connection (which is of course encrypted) with the Homission servers in the USA. To protect your data, you enter the user ID and password which you have received from us by post. We have made sure that even at our company only a few people have access to the data. No third party, not even the operator of the servers in the USA, receives your name. For the identification, only the device identification of your homebox is used (MAC address). Otherwise it is up to you to designate rooms or to name the devices to be activated. Data communication When you initiate a switching operation by app, the request is sent online to your homebox via the server, with instructions to pass the command on to the relevant actor(s). In the case of a local connection, communication takes place exclusively via your Wi-Fi. Data storage, deletion When using the app externally online, communication data such as switching states is temporarily stored on the server for a short period of 20 - 30 minutes. After this time window expires, the data is deleted there and no one is then able to determine what switching operations have been carried out. In local communication between the app and your homebox, no data is stored on a server. On your terminal device (app), switching commands are only stored for the duration of their execution. Otherwise the last switching state is shown in the app. However, access data such as your user name and password are stored in encrypted form. When the app is deleted from your device, all app usage data and your entries are deleted on the device on which the app was running. Only your registration data can be requested from us again. Use of cookies We currently refrain from the use of cookies. User group Our services are intended for adult users. In general the control of electrical consumer units should not be entrusted to children and should in any case be supervised if used by children. Changes and extensions to the services We are constantly developing our services. The functionality of the app can change and expand in the process. We will point out any significant changes.
